Crochet Coral @ Fed Square continued ...

We had an enormous amount of fun at the crochet coral display/workshop at Federation Square last Friday for the 10th birthday celebrations. The Square was buzzing with people despite the very changeable Melbourne weather … lots of school aged children and a huge amount of interest in the coral display … with a few game people participating and actually making some coral to add to the display.  So excited that we will be doing regular workshops and have settled on the second Monday of each month from November 2012 and right through 2013 (mark that in your diary now) … and even more excited about the potential new reefers coming on board.  Huge thanks to Avril, Marg and Maryanne for their help on the day. More images will be added soon.

30 April 2012

Ferntree Gully Workshops

Due to popular demand we are now also able to offer Wednesday evening workshops (6pm - 8pm) at the Library for those who cannot make it on Friday afternoons. For consistency, these will also be held the 3rd week of each month.

We had a great start to the Ferntree Gully Community Reef with 12 women arriving to learn more and get inspired. It was wonderful to see the experienced crocheters helping the 'newbies'. Julie's feedback since the workshops is that the women are coming in to show her how they are progressing and sharing their excitement when their first piece starts to crenulate.
Here is a picture of some of the women from the first workshop
